  1. "When one door is closed, another is open"… Coming in from the cold… (I just took meaning from this song, when you're going through rough times in this life, it isn't permanent and good times come and that's when you're coming in from the cold.)

  2. It's been a matter of pure amazement for me, for years now, the depth and fractal truth of this first sentence, "In this life we're coming in from the cold". To resort to the internet meme, this is true on some many levels. But, seriously, Bob somehow managed to state something that stands true for everything that we regard as life and its struggle to be. Even at a cosmic level, everything indeed flows to be cold, particles to distance from each other, there's the universal tendency for maximum entropy, after all. Life seems to always fight for the opposite: to come in from the cold. To order. To get together. To heat. And then there's the depth of this idea on a social and cultural level. This is also what everyone is doing all the time: seeking shelter. Don't know… too much being said and called attention for in a single sentence.
