We Africans soon or later we put out comments in our language ….
What's the song where he switches to drums called? The third one I think
hello!
Never trust a white guy who wears a scarf…
wonderful track dokho ndém
Muito legal, um som leve e alegre. Nós brasileiros temos uma conexão muito forte com nossos irmãos africanos
Wow, he started singing and every hair on my body just stood up. What a privilege to hear this music!
"Music is a young person's game, you can't make money if you're not young and marketab"…Cheikh walks in
L'artiste le plus complet du senegal.voir mem de l'afrqu de l'ouest il jou a la guitar au batiste et a la percussion zn plus il chante bien
I didn't know this guy! I'm blown away. I think now I know what it's like to be in Senegal.
CHEIKH IS A CRACK!!!!! WOOOOOWWWWW
71 years old! He's a yoda master of sounds
cheikh Lô your musik is perfekt, dont play musik with HipHop, by the way i like hiphop…
❤️
Darek brings the most legit stuff ever, well … just like the other hosts. … KEXP … thank you.
♥
Absolutely fantastic.
This blew my mind almost immediately, and continued throughout the whole set. I haven't been this blown away by an artist new to me in a long time. Gonna go seek out the rest right now, holy crap!
Great music. Thanks
Wow. To think that only yesterday I was at the ER suspecting appendicitis and today, I am here, alive, well and listening to this wonderful music by Cheikh Lô <3 <3 <3. Thank you, Universe.
Darek, I love your hosting! Your voice is so relaxing and you always show so much respect and appreciation for your guests and their music. Thank you for doing what you do. The world needs KEXP!
music is awesome…interviewer's comments shallow and without any substance
Largest necklace ever
Thank you KEXP for producing beauty and Carla for sharing it with me and making my day
I really love KEXP but I think it is very reductionist and inherently racist to think that this one performer represent all of Africa. you wouldn't give that responsability to any artist from the US or from latinamerica.
great music, great vibes and they all seem to enjoy very much, what they're playing 😀
i'm never leaving this channel. what an ecstasy
Honestly if Kevin Suggs isn't being payed a million dollars per session he is seriously under payed.
I saw Cheikh Lo here in Seattle in January 2020! Mesmerizing! Anyone who was there that night knows what I'm talking about. It was a spiritual experience.
Sending lots of positive vibes for this from the Swiss mountains ♥
Absolutely sublime: meditative tune–I can picture infinite possibilities in a peaceful world… just close your eyes and image!
Wow, this music is soooo gooood. Made my scalp tingle.
Percussion: Khadim Mbaye
Solo Guitar: Mamadou Konaré
Bass: Lennox Holness
Sax: Wilfred Zinsou
Voice, Guitar, Drums: Cheikh Lo
I love this man! Number 1 in Sénégal
This guy makes me want to dance!! And pick up saxophone. Holy crap! What a SOUND!!!!!!
I wish the band members were listed in the description of KEXP videos. You credit everyone except the performers.
