Alaskan Purple

Alaskan Purple has some fine heritage, having been bred by crossing Purple Alaskan, Kush, and a Brazilian sativa strain. Highly vigorous strain, adaptable to various cultivation techniques, excellent yields, and displaying lovely purple hues at maturity.

Flowering indoors takes approximately 9 weeks after which a yield of around 550 gr/m² should be obtained. When grown outdoors in the northern hemisphere yields should be in the region of 1700 gr/plant with harvest time occurring during the first half of October.

Both scent and taste are reminiscent of sweet berries with some floral notes too. This is a potent strain with a high THC content and Kush power. It is relaxing for the body and has a long-lasting effect which is lifted somewhat by the presence of the Brazilian sativa genetics which adds a cerebral, psycho-active note.

Purple Ghost Candy

Boo!

Purple Ghost Candy is a beautiful cross between Ghost OG and one of the very best recent Purple cuts, viz. Candyland Purple.

Purple Ghost Candy is 60% Sativa 40% Indica. These are hearty plants, simple to cultivate and with a potential for large yields both indoors and out.

While Purple Ghost Candy has the typical fuel-like scent of OG strains, it is typified by spicy and earthy tastes alongside supporting notes of lemon and other fruits. THC production is high with CBD content low. The effect produced is potent with a strong physical side, balanced with a cerebrally stimulating effect. Blue Dream

Blue Dream is a Californian legend, whose story spreads far and wide. She is a cross of Blueberry Ice with a unique U.S. Haze cut to produce a 70% sativa strain. It is popular with commercial growers and hardened enthusiasts due to its yield and sheer quality.

If you’ve got some experience under your belt you’ll know to extract the most potential from Blue Dream. IPnats grown inside will not get bigger than medium size and yield around 500 gr/m2 in 65 – 70 days of the flowering cycle. Things get even more interesting when cultivated outdoors, where plants can reach a height of between 250 – 350 cm. when cultivated in warm, dry, and mild Mediterranean type climates.

Both scent and taste have a light lemon-citrus quality with berry and Haze notes and a suggestion of Madeira fortified wine. THC content is high, accompanied by low CBD levels. The result is a fine, uplifting, cerebral effect, mentally stimulating, and long-lasting while also being comfortable and relaxing.

High CBD Strains

These 3 strains were all bred specifically for their CBD content, meaning, if you’re looking for a buzz without the fuzz these are perfect to try.

Peyote Wi-Fi CBD 2:1

Peyote Wi-Fi CBD 2:1 was bred by crossing Peyote Purple and WiFi OG with the high-CBD Candida phenotype known as Seedsman CBD #2 to offer soothing relief for medical consumers. The offspring of these parent plants produce twice as much CBD as THC thus greatly reducing any attendant psycho-activity.

Medical Marijuana Genetics’ Candida provided the Seedsman CBD #2 phenotype which is an indica-sativa hybrid producing very high levels of CBD, between 10 – 20%, while its THC content is below 1%. It is a hardy plant suitable for all environments and most climates. CBD #2 has a similar length of flowering to the Peyote Purple, taking maybe a day or three longer. Growers of Peyote CBD 2:1 can expect a similar length of fluorescence at around 65 days. Outdoor harvests in northern latitudes will be expected in early to mid-October.

Peyote Wi-Fi CBD 2:1 produces between 12 – 14% CBD whilst THC levels are around 6 – 8% which will help to provide relief from the symptoms of a wide range of ailments whilst not getting you heavily stoned or debilitated.

Purple Kush CBD 1:1 Auto

Purple Kush CBD 1:1 Auto Feminised is a 90% Indica cross of Purple Kush CBD Auto and Purple Afghan CBD Auto. This plant is essentially the same strain as the Pink Kush CBD 30:1 Auto, but with a CBD: THC ratio of 1:1. In just 9 weeks, you can have your own home-grown medicine!

Autoflower Strains

Are you new to cultivation? Autos are a great place to start. The premise behind autoflowering strains is a very simple one: as time moves forward, they will ‘automatically’ flower, rather than flower according to a fixed or timed light cycle. Put another way, the cannabis plants flower automatically on their own after a fairly short vegetative period – no more than 2 to 4 weeks.

Seedsman’s Strawberry Cheesecake Auto results from a cross of Strawberry Banana Auto and Cheese Auto. This Indica-dominant wonder grows into medium-sized, robust plants, producing very good harvests of dense and resinous buds with good levels of THC. 

Whether Strawberry Cheesecake Auto plants are grown indoors under lights or outdoors in the sun they will remain reasonably squat, reaching about 140 cm. indoors and 175 cm. when grown outdoors. From seed through to harvest should only take a period of 12 – 13 weeks or so, making this strain a perfectly feasible one to grow outdoors in the cooler summers of northern Europe. In lower latitudes two crops per season are possible. 

The taste produced by the dried buds is quite heavy on the Skunk with some pronounced sweet, fruity/lemon notes. THC production is around 15% while CBD is rated at below 1%, and its effect is initially quite physically relaxing although providing mental stimulation at the same time. Photoperiod Strains

The term photoperiod refers to the balance between daylight and darkness in a 24-hour period. You’ll often hear cannabis growers talking about a 12-hour (or 12/12) photoperiod, which means 12 hours of light followed by 12 hours of darkness.

Some plants, like garden peas, are known as long-day plants, which means they flower when the days are long, but cannabis is a short-day plant and produces bud only when the number of daylight hours dips below a critical level. This means that if you’re growing indoors, you’ll need to control the lighting so that your plants get the correct photoperiod in order to produce a good harvest, while outdoor growers will need to consider the seasons very carefully when deciding which cultivars to plant and when to sow their seeds.

Fuel D.OG

Fuel D.OG was bred by crossing two highly celebrated and popular strains from the USA – Chemdog (Sour Diesel x OG Kush) and Fuel OG (|Diesel x HeadBand). Fuel D.OG is a 70% sativa, 30% indica plant with excellent potential yields indoors and outdoors. Resin and THC production is also at a very high level. 

Fuel D.OG has a more intense OG Kush taste than the Chemdog parent, with increased diesel emphasis and citric, lemon, and grapefruit scents. THC content is very high with low proportions of CBD. The effect experienced by consumers is one of intense relaxation evolving into a long-lasting narcotic stone that makes Fuel D.OG more suitable for evenings unless there are no crucial tasks to be completed.

L.A Peyote Kush

L.A. Peyote Kush is an indica-dominant strain bred by crossing the clone-only L.A. Kush with Peyote Purple. LA Kush’s origins are shrouded in mystery, with some claims that it’s from an OG Kush phenotype, possibly crossed with Diesel. At the same time, another story has it that it hailed from Orange County in California and was grown from a single bag seed.

L.A. Kush is 90% indica and takes 8 – 9 weeks to complete the flowering phase.  

This plant takes 8 – 9 weeks of flowering before it is ready to harvest, producing average yields of anything but average weed. The THC potential of this strain is very high, with plants attaining between 18 – 28%. Its name is attributed to its headiness.  

This indica offers some pronounced cerebral effects with a relaxing yet uplifting effect, leaving users sleepy and somewhat unfocused with heavier use. 

The scent of mint pervades the grow room, while earthy tastes of menthol and pine have some diesel/chem notes. The effect is potent yet quite upbeat, and it is certainly no couch-lock strain. Uplifting, happy, physically relaxing, and mentally creative.

Badazz Cookies OG is a three-way hybrid comprised of BadAzz, OG Kush, and Cookies Kush.
