I heard this song as a soundtrack in one of Kevin Costner movie. It sounds like 'film-making' in the 1970s ..I enjoyed the moving environment in KC 'intelligence' film after listening to AP intro. I remember her song very well after watching ..fine piece!
I found out about this song from a sampler CD of HI Records artists that included Peebles, O.V. Wright, and Syl Johnson. I was tired of lame, unoriginal 'Snore-and-Bee' that was coming out at that time. All people were doing was taking hooks from classic Soul records, and either rapping, or singing over them.
