  1. I first heard this song when Keb Mo redid it. I had it on CD so naive I didn't realize it was written by this great man. Thank you Bill for hitting the mark about how I feel about my Grandmother whom I miss all thiese years later

  2. You were my grandfathers vinyl records next to Al green and Marvin Gaye and many other greats. You taught how to appreciate life, family, and just loving the fact of how blessed I am. My brother, even I never meet you I always felt your music in the soul and made appreciate how precious life is. I hope to meet you some day when I walk with the ancestors. To all that going through this pandemic we will get thru it. For those that checked out early peace and blessing on the walk.

  3. This song really strikes a cord with me. I was sitting next to my son at the kitchen table, when he picked up my hand and said, "Wow, Grammy's hands!" I thought I was too young to realize that he'd paid me one of the greatest compliments he could have since he was crazy about my mother, who he called Grammy. This song puts it all in perspective for me!

  4. My condolences to the family and friends of this genius wonderful music making man… I came here first because this is the song that introduced me to Bill. And oh man did I cry and the I found more songs of his and they were just as great… For those of us that have not experienced having a "Grandma" he explained what I would have loved to have. In all the ways that I can say the respect and admiration I have for this man, I express now. Much love… True Fan

  6. I remember Grandma's Hands. She made the best lemon squares. The icing was thin and the squares were petite. Grandma cooked in white folk kitchens. Thank you Bill Withers for remembering our Grandmothers. What a BEAUTIFUL tribute.
