I’ve combined several clips of these lovely black under-40s discovering The Righteous Brothers for the first time.

,
Black people are funny, gotta love them.
I love the first reaction, She like he singing to me lol.
As a 64 year old "white dude", I laughed my ass off watching these reactions. I just goes to show you that nobody has a monopoly on music. People just need to sit back, shut up, and enjoy the show.
Music is not racial, and yes man White people can sing to Blues music. Oh yeah, the righteous Brothers awesome
You don't hear music like this anymore. It's a shame, down right shame
Every time I see one of these videos about black people listening to old music i wonder where these people were living in the past hundred years, under a rock or is this what rap has done to our youth.
Ain't but two kinds of music, good and bad.
the first women is so fine i swear
The words had meaning in the songs then
This song was in the first "Top Gun" movie, the sailors where singing in the bar , LOL
White people can sing
We miss out on so much joy by refusing to understand each other by putting up hidden fences!
Soul doesn't have a skin color ❤
Seeing Ty Smith react to this is fun. The man truly earns his moniker of Modern Renaissance Man.
Find it very hard to believe that none of these black people have ever seen the movie " Top Gun" I mean this is probably the most iconic song of the movie.
This wasn’t even the best performance by the Righteous Brothers.
But WHY are black folks so surprised at this, especially the younger ones?
One of my favorite songs I heard it when I was a kid while watching Top Gun and it’s stuck with me
M u s i c !
The first woman's reaction! It was like listening to this music with a different set of ears.❤❤
My parents raised me on everything from classical to jazz to rock to musicals and all in between. My siblings were 10 years older than me so I was exposed to the Beatles, Zeppelin, Who, Stones etc as a child. I did the same with my kids who are now just in their 20s but know music from the 50s,60s,70s, etc. Good music is good music regardless of "colour" and is all about talent.
And the line about getting on his knees makes my 58 year old heart melt every time!
The only song white people ever made in the US was Country music
Every pther genre wae invented by black people…. AI said so
Yeah. White people can sing.
Just goes to show everyone can have some soul in em.
Soul… if you got it, you got it…Queen Aretha oversaw her "kingdom" but she had a hell of a court! ❤❤❤
Soul, R&B, etc. is NOT a “black” genre – By cutting ourselves off from music because the artist doesn’t look like what we think “our music” sounds like deprives us of a very wide musical world
I always thought that Unchained Melody was sang by a black singer until today.
Talk about ignorance? Now if this was reversed then, well, you know.
The third woman is 50 if she's a day ffs. And she's never heard this?
We're supposed to believe these people have never heard of or heard of the Righteous Brothers? Were they on the moon?
Where do you think Soul music came from? It wasn't from the black community
Our soul is the same❤
