Bobby “Blue” Bland released “Ain’t No Love In The Heart Of The City” on Dunhill Records in 1974. The single peaked at #9 on the r’n’b chart and #91 on the pop chart.
Rapper Jay-Z famously used the track on his 2001 album, “The Blueprint.”
A Tennessee native, the highly respected and much loved “Lion Of The Blues” passed away on 23rd June 2013 at his home in Germantown.
