For those of you asking if I had any other footage from the 1978 Bobby Caldwell “Love on the Beach” concert, here it is. Not exactly sure of the name. Can’t find it on any of his albums. He does a sweet guitar solo at that would make Steely Dan jealous.
I was hoping I had a recording of “My Flame” my other all-time B.C. favorite with his signature sound. You can see my recording of his performance of “What You Won’t Do For Love” at the following link:
Filmed and edited by veteran videographer George Monteiro http://www.sea-cam.com
(before he knew what he was doing)
,
dig the guy in the criteria recording studio t shirt behind the band….
Bobby looks like a trucker who just parked near by just the time to kill it and take the road right after
Oh nice a second song from this performance in Miami. Thank you so much.
This my ultimate happy go to heaven happy place. Such beautiful times.
I listen to this nearly every day..amazing footage!!!
Man this was GREAT!
Hey George, as a millenial that always thought I grew up in the wrong generation, thanks for posting these videos. What a talent Bobby and this band was. As many others have noted, these sound like studio tracks. Cheers.
I think he could have been a rock star. Multi talented. Wish I could go back in time and see this live.
Bobby Caldwell is one of the most talented singer songwriters in the business. He is a multi-instrumentalist as well.

Thanks for this great video. Wow, Bobby live in'78, amazing, lead guitar and everything! Too much!
Live? On a beach? Is that even possible nowadays?

None of us seem to know the name of this song. I suppose we could ask him….he has that page with the bulldog on the picture….
What a great tune! Digging that tone and guitar solo! More uploads from this concert please!
