A great band – individually accomplished musicians – they came up with some iconic hooks – you can here much of their catalog sampled constantly by DJ’s and Hip Hop producers – live, they were entertaining to watch and their sound was full and close in dynamics and fidelity to the album – having a group that could play their own instruments and music was typical of r&b bands in the seventies and eighties but Brick were stand out performers.
A friend and I saw this group & Rick James. We were the only two white people in the crowd. But it was one of the best damn concerts I've ever been to. Everyone was smartly dressed, polite and accepting. When life was not full of hatred & animosity towards one another. Those were the days!
