  1. Some regions ie ATV and Granada ran it on Sundays at Lunchtime at 1pm/1:15/1:30 before or 3:15/3:30 after the local football or in the Summer (the football close season) 2pm/2:15/2:30 while those regions who ran it on Saturday tended to run it before and even after World of Sport and it was in these weekend morning/afternoon/early evening slots which also had The Saint, UFO, CHiPs, Thunderbirds, The Champions, Randall and Hopkirk Deceased, The New Avengers and Space 1999

  2. Dennis Grovsner, ex Homicide, Robert Coleby, to appear in Patrol Boat a few years later and Eric Oldfield who would go on to the Young Doctors. When Chopper Squad was on the three of them were heartthrobs,

  3. Ahhh !!! Thanks so much for posting this !!!!
I had been looking for this show a while back and for some reason I thought it was called Surf and Rescue LoL!!! Thanks again, great channel and fantastic content!!!

  4. In 1979, we worked in Butterworth, Malaysia. The people at the Leonard Cheshire Home in Penang said 'You guys are Chopper Squad'. We said that we were not.
One Saturday we took them for a picnic at Batu Ferringhi Beach on the western side of Penang Island.

The RAAF search and rescue helicopter crew came over and did a low flight and a few turns (NOT a 'beat up') and all the clients said 'You are Chopper Squad'.
In September 2019 we went back to Butterworth and Penang for our 40th reunion and again – we were Chopper Squad for the people at the Cheshire Home.
    Thanks Chopper Squad.

  5. Great Saturday afternoon fodder in the late 70s coming into the 80s, this and "CHiPS." Used to come on after "World of Sport." Last time I saw this show was in the early 90s on Sky One, Sunday mornings.

  6. Growing up in the UK. Used to see this on Saturday mornings. Knew it wasn't American because of the accents and I knew it wasn't British because the cast looked healthy and the weather was great. Then came Mad Max. Brilliant, absolutely fair dinkum fucking brilliant!!!!

  7. loved this is as a. kid. When I first had that iconic headphone unit on my ears it was like being on Chopper Squad, for. a brief period of time those guys were my heroes
