  1. Obama's transition to media productions, educational documentaries, etc. is so heartening. He and Michelle do not deserve the chaos of political madness. Instead, they can help people through the best outlets possible. Obama was an incredible President, even with all his mistakes and troubles operating under an oppressive system, he did his best to unite people under his administration. He can't go back and correct his mistakes, but the path he's taken is far better.

  2. I wish I could watch the whole documentary but not able to pay for subscriptions.
I'm disabled in a few ways. One cannot be seen, I take that back, none can be seen unless I were to wear my MRIs!
I hope and pray that all suffering in any way will be helped by Jesus. He can work miracles.
Some may need to ask for forgiveness too. I have apologized to those I hurt so long ago but there are a couple who can't or won't accept. I don't know what more I can say.
    God Bless us all.

  3. The young woman with glasses in this clip was Judith Heumann. She's one of the activists who got the Americans with Disabilities Act passed. She just passed away.

This is such a great film to watch – you can see early on that she was someone who was going to change the world.

    And she did.

  4. This is amazing! How did I not know this history? Very powerful and a part of American history everyone should learn about in school. I plan to assign this to my graduate students ASAP.

  5. Parent here! Can anyone tell me why this movie is rated R? What content should I be aware of? I love the purpose of the film and am considering watching it with my kiddo.

  6. just experienced this with half a box of kleenex and it reminded me of an African quote : 'if you think you're too small to make a difference, you never spent the night with a mosquito'

  7. wow….. i just watched the documentary in it's entirety and it was awesome. judy was the rockstar who got shit done and made government listen. what was that song playing at the end?

  8. To anyone out there – please see this documentary, you may not agree with everything in it ( And I certainly didn't agree with a lot of the language in it ) – That being said it is perfect example of how those with disabilities have always have had to fight for their rights.

  9. AMAZING!
These people, and the whole social movement has helped change a lot.
Although as said at the end, without a change in attitude, law's are just laws, and this is very true.

There is still some way to go, even now.

This was very insightful, heart warming and very well made.
    Thank you

  10. I have not heard of this documentary until now, I have learned about it because I am reading an article on Andraéa Lavant the Impact producer for this documentary who attended the 2021 Academy Awards/Oscars.

I would like to watch this insightful documentary. Thank you for posting. I am sharing this. Date Stamp: 03may21
