,
I grew up around this, it's so real.
UPN/Warner Bros./WB flagship shit. And yes this was a Warner Bros. movie, and when Warner Bros. was still black, just before it became white with the Big "W" logo later that year (and a precursor to "Friends"-loving Tribune trying to remake WB in their own image 23 years later, no wonder they trailed the real Warner Bros. network, UPN in the ratings, pathetically, all 11 years). I'm reviving UPN and creating WB, a real Warner Bros. network. No "The" before "WB," no Tribune.
If you don't get me my money by tonight, I'ma put that girl of your's down on whore's road! Son, I love how he wasn't scared of disrespecting another man's girl. Whereas Shaft and Mr. T would not do something like that, Fly was just merciless and vicious.
My jam ..
I've got a feeling have to let go "don't care what anybody says, I've got to take the pain away," sorry for the tears that flow, I didn't have to be here, I was just a nothing, you had no love for me, why couldn't you have let me be, I've got a jones running through my bones, it's better this way than all the rest, love child guess it's time to take another trip, all my life it's been this way, tell her smile, I love her so, I love her so.
One of the worst things in this WORLD is……a CHILD that never smiles…..we must do BETTER for our children folks….. : (

Curtis Mayfield put feets in this song words and music. That orchestration alone is still flamed. Amazing and raw. Respect and appreciate rip. The band were great

It's getting worser day-by-day an all my life has been this way
Absolute masterpiece. The cellos at the end are arrangements extraordinaire.
Besides seeing Super Fly the movie – this entire album is the ghetto anthem of everything destructive and generationally apparent with my inner cities. The things Black people see in the ghetto – drugs, pimps, pushers, violence with a love song being smack in the middle of the chaotic landscape of city life. This album reminds me of growing up in NYC as a child. Every time I hear anything off this album it instantly transports me back to 1975.

People Get Ready for Mr. Curits Mayfield, he makes a great Impression.
