Man a warm feeling swells in me when I hear this track and see this vid. I bought this album in high school and would relish this video coming on Rap City. What a time man, what a time
I realize growing up that the older non hip hop generation didn't embrace rap but every sample used is an ode and tribute to the canvas of music those artists heard as children. We loved that old school music too. We just wish they understood that.
I was in college when this dropped. As a local emcee in own town back then, every word of this song lifted up as I was tired of all that sick stuff too.
This is my favorite song I remember in the 90s on this video came out I was like that beat is a monster I know J dilla producer play with teamwork by De La Soul who produces two this is my favorite song I ain't going to lie this is my number one

I wish the vocals were mixed just a touch higher. The lyrics really need to be HEARD on this track.
