  1. I'd be more of a fan if she could make it to her concerts on time. So rude and disrespectful to fans who pay a lot of money to see her. Plus, this is an old song. You've had all this time off and couldn't come out with a new song or new sound? Nope…I'm over it.

  2. I love Lauryn—my favorite artist of the last few dozen years. Love the lyrical content. But, we gotta stop excusing this. This is just a random collection of thoughts to music. It’s not arranged well at all. I’m sorry. Nothing is wrong with maintaining your artistry, but musicality has to come in at some point or it’s all just spoken word.

  3. It's a great movie. Very much a genre that seems like a slice of life, but for the Black audiences I've seen it with (as a black woman that often feels on the outside of my own culture at times being somewhere in the center of it) really resonated with the score chosen and a lot of the visuals. I would definitely suggest giving a listen to the soundtrack and seeing the movie for yourself at least once.
