Does any one know the name of like an early 2000's hip hop song that sampled the beginning melody of this song?
Love Teddy's voice! Great song!!!
Totally incredible and Teddy know how to preach R & B. One of the best!
I lost it an found real love thanks Teddy
I dedicate The love I lost 2 my late wife that's been gone from Covid & Pneumonia infections 8 months ago
Does it get any better? !!! Short answer…NOPE. This stuff is great. Loved that whole sound of Philadelphia thing that happened back so many decades ago, now. Some of the best music to ever hit my ears and move my soul. Such a smooth vibe. What I love it the full orchestral sound that carried Teddy's terrific vocals. It's still relevant in 2022. We NEED this more than ever, now.
One of the greatest voices I've ever heard God bless Teddy pendergrass
Love this song!
One of the best intros of all time
That’s a song that’s tough to beat
RIP TP
Yes!! When music was musicck

All-time favorite jam!!!! I can still hear the needle dropping to the back of my mind in the mid 1990s, yo!
Pure soul

BRASIL, SAO PAULO, 25/03/2021, EM MEIO DA PANDEMIA DE COVID-19, UM RESPIRO, UM OASIS NO MEIO DO DESERTO, UMA MUSICA QUE NOS ALEGRA, FAZ BEM AOS NOSSOS SENTIDOS, NOS FAZ VOLTAR AOS ANOS 70
All man ever time i hear this sound take me back to the apartment in new jersey. Growing up and the old cats would be jamming. So mr DJ rock it. Thank you.
This tune makes me think bout how I lost my 1st love @ 15 years old when she did me real bold
One of the indications that Teddy's raw talent was too powerful to be contained to a group. He was a superstar.
309 S. Broad St. aka Philadelphia International Records is no more…. I cried when they said that they were tearing it down… .A lot of great artist and music came out of the building.. You live on when I play your music…..
When music was great… Rest in Peace TP, you are missed…..
Is Teddy Pendergrass in here
The Sound of Philadelphia at its very best. Writer Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff's great classic featuring Teddy Pendergrass will endure.
Mikey's Disco But Goodies.
When they used full bands and orchestras! Now THIS is music!
No no no Never
Teddy's voice was insane wtf
I always loved the intro to this song.
journey through time to a lost time and place….< 3
