Imagine at the beginning an alligator lurking for pray in the swamps of Louisiana and then at 0:35 SNAPS!!!!he catches his pray and then submerges afterwards.

One of the greatest tone paintings of the last century. One can feel every muscle in a giant African Butterfly's wings and ride on every glide.

Jazz in its psychedelic soul stage…..
Simply beautiful.
I want my thoughts to be as blurry as they possibly can
Most people are so dumb seriously
Does anybody know any other songs like this
Besides summer madness by kool
I feel like the rhythm section is the most important part of this piece

Just hearing this now! Holy cow! I mean so tight! I have to hug myself to stop shaking! WOW!
This is how I got introduced to jazz, 15 years old laying in bed around midnight in my room with my two other brothers in our small 3 bed home in Oakland California in 1977, my step dad left this 8 track cassette in our room and I put in the cassette player and became immersed in this brilliance as if I was smoking a joint! Every time I listen to this I thank my step dad, one of the two things he introduced me to…the other is to flush at the same time you pee…
Der Hancock Kult
such a monumental track omg
5:05 you're welcome
RIP Dead Head unit 227 on the 11 meter band. Fat mouthing on a D104 with a mako linear swinging at 340 on the low side with hot tubes at 375 watts. You are missed but with tunes like this….I reminisce remembering times we blazed while Herbie kicked it from Bose 901 speakers.
