Friday Morning is a love song, written and recorded at the remote farm in Burton, Texas where Khruangbin got its start. To commemorate the song, the band asked their closest friends and family to record messages of love to each band member. The music video is a portrait of the band hearing these audio recordings for the first time, capturing on film the emotions one feels when they hear just how loved they are; a poignant and heartfelt expression in a time where, as a collective whole, we need to hear and express love more than ever.

They definitely had some inspiration from the Isley Brothers, (Footsteps in the Dark) but added some of their own style, as well as other classic styles. Nice to see a band appreciate the classic sound and bring it back for all to appreciate.
Fk is all this sad people. Song is to slow for me
the slow part of this song kind of reminds me of Tupac's "running from the police"
Song reminds me that we're all only human and mental health is real.
fire love this thanks for share
such a dope band

듣는 내내 행복합니다:)
I hope this is the music that’s playing in the waiting room for reincarnation.
Dear Curtis,
We lost you last Friday morning. It doesn't seem real, and I'm still waiting to wake up from this bad dream. One month we were working on so much music to bring into the world, the next month you were sick, and now you're gone. It's not fair, and it makes absolutely no sense. I don't know why it had to be you. You were such a brilliant light and positive force in this world. It hurts so much knowing that you're no longer in it. I hope wherever you are you are happy and no longer in pain. I also hope you knew you were loved and appreciated by so many people. I love and miss you greatly. I hope we cross paths again my brother.

OMG I HAVE BEEN looking for this song for so long!!! I remember hearing it years ago and then forgetting the name for so long but I’d always remember it! I’m so glad I found it!
The ending arrangement of this song teleports me back to being 8 years old, excited about fruit roll-ups and legos. Thank you familia. Ustedes son magicos.
@kruanghbin – you guys are ffin amazing… thanks for sharing <3
Just love this song.. it's everything!!
I get some 70’s Isley Brothers vibes.
❤
I love all the musical changes this song has..obviously these folks are some top notch musicians!!
Love this tune. The soulful/funk feel of this song makes me think of how Compton was portrayed in Boys In The Hood, Dre & Snoop videos and most importantly Ice Cube – Today Was A Good Day. I am pretty sure Ice Cube is the main influence behind this amazing track.
Awesome!
God bless you people!
Shrooms and this song takes me to heaven
WONDERFUL❣
At least they have had a trip with an airplain to Bangkok. Khruangbin means; Airplane…in thai. But very boring song.
I can feel Neil Young vibe from this song
oooooooooooo!
This tune got me thru pervy sam , spreading peanut butter all over me mam. Watching his deviant vhs, back in 87, near ruined my childhood and young adulthood. Shit, I used to do depraved things to get myself off. Thanks to music and loosening my morals, I found depravity means I no longer care. Love , rectal fissures and the salve of a good moral comp.Ass x
This reminds me of the Isley brothers they just Ronald Isley singing
I found this song a few weeks ago and ever since I play it every Friday morning!
Currently on shrooms listening to this . I am so happyyyy
played this at my childhood friends' wake/funeral. she loved khruangbin and the lyrics hold more meaning now that she's gone
