  1. Shout out to Shan….But Cool J made ‘I Can Give You More’ and ‘I Want You’ in ‘85, on the Radio Album. Those predated Shan’s “Left Me Lonely”, which dropped in ‘87. LL’s ‘I Need Love’ wasn’t his first love ballad.

  2. For the record, Left Me Lonely IS BETTER than wack ass, fake, pretentious sounding I Need Love. LML had a realer, harder sound to it. TJ Swann actually sounded horrible to me, like a shower singer, but the style FIT that song, to me, for some reason, especially towards the end of the song. Lmmfao. I keep the song in my phone. Oh, oh-oh-oohh guurrrlllll….

Oh, The Bridge I have too. Being originally from Queens, myself, that song hit HARD when it came out but I had already moved outta state by then. I HATED "South Bronx" cuz not only was it dissing The Bridge, but it sounded HORRIBLE to me and there was a funny coincidence to it I won't speak on but oh, how times change. South Bronx did become a flassic, in a sense, for me and had got added to my phone but it doesn't beat Criminal Minded. Wooo, that shit never gets old. That beat is just sick. My Philosophy was big to me, when it first hit. It just had this chill track that hit different.

I love Shan, KRS snd LL for their early contributions to building the foundation of hiphop. Too bad the house that was so nicely built on it is in shambles with the majority of today's "rap" artists. They're such a disrespect to the culture to the point that the culture really doesn't exist to me anymore. Hihop's heyday and the artists who carried the torch correctly are legendary.

  3. Beef??? Over a Kangol??? Why Shan trying to validate his career by petty shit like this?? Every NY nigga at the time was wearing Kangols of all styles but he chose one L trademarked already for himself. This was to get attention but nobody gave Shan that look to care then or now. Unbelievable the shit he does for click bait.
