This song is about as deep as it gets-just incredible music back then. G Thang was bubbling around the same time and things were about to go in the G funk direction and the political/social conscious hip hop (Native Tongues, PE, Paris, X Clan, etc) would soon fade unfortunately
Paris Days Of Old song and video is a classic. Paris speaking the truth about black men killing black people with guns. I don't like end of the video. A black woman was arrested by the police for killing her boyfriend with a gun for sexually molesting her daughter. Black woman was protecting her daughter against her evil boyfriend. Paris made me laugh. He said so i say what it will take for black men to change up? Some more of black men dead LOL. Or more black men locked up in prison LOL. How many black men will blame the white man before black men understand that the problem is not the white man? I disagree with Paris about that. White men are the reason black men are unemployed, homeless, in prison. White men ignore black men for jobs with lots of money. That's why black men do crime to get money. Paris sampled The Blackbyrds Mysterious Vibes song on Action album. Sleeping With The Enemy album is good. Album cover is funny LOL. Paris, Willie D of Geto Boys, Scarface of Geto Boys, MC Ren of NWA, Ice Cube of NWA, Redman, 2Pac Shakur(RIP), Ice T, Foxy Brown are my favorite music rappers.
