"Kiss me on my ego…" Ive never heard a track where they were having so much fun just cuttin' up. I could hear them tell the engineer "Just roll the tape; we don't know what we gonna do yet."
it's so sad, George Clinton went to court to get back his Rights to the Music he wrote and was denied. All the music he wrote from between 1976 and 1983, which would include his contributions to the Funkadelic classics One Nation Under a Groove (1978) and Uncle Jam Wants You (1979) as well as the solo effort Computer Games (1982), which spawned "Atomic Dog." is owned by a company called Bridgeport Music the same company was one of the defendants in the recent “Blurred Lines” case with Pharrell and Robin Thicke. His music is second on the list of most-sampled artists in music history, with more than 400 times to date, it is estimated that it's worth 100 million in Royalties and George get zero *note he was heavily into Crack Cocaine back then, that's probably why he signed away all his rights …..very sad he is the second most sampled artist
Everything is on the ONE. The drummer accents the ONE when he crashes the cymbals. Bootsy fills in the space from one ONE before the next ONE with riffs and glissandos. The chorus line, "WE LOVE TO LOVE YOU, DOCTOR FUNKENSTEIN. YOUR FUNK IS THE BEST . . ." is spoken or recited in harmony, not sung. This technique is used in opera.
P-Funk has it's own religion..that's why we chant ''We love to funk you Funkenstein''..way before their time..amazing in their prime..the best in their post life..the best to ever do it
Funk is like good sex you want some more and you want to do it again and again and again you get the message y'all keep funking tell the young folk about the funk so that they know where they from came from peace
