I just heard this song on the opening scenes of Katrina Babies and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Not super religious, but this stirred some emotions. Wanted to just raise my hands and give thanks for all the good that surrounds me!!
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
I’ve never heard this song until today while watching Alice. What an amazing soulful song!!!! I felt this song in my spirit!!!!! Wow….. what an emotion evoking gospel/non gospel song. It feels just like a personal song of our people giving you all kinds of emotion. Very powerful and saying so much with saying so little but so much…❤❤❤❤
Reading comments, I just need people to separate religion from FAITH. Christ warned of organized "religion". He said they do the work of their father the devil.
You only have to be human.. and without privilege ..to listen to this and relate in some way. Not only is Pain and suffering a human condition but it is also one that oppressed people know at a depth others cannot.
