  1. We have lost three of the greatest female vocalists that have ever held a microphone and they are Phyllis Hyman Vesta Williams and the incomparable Whitney Houston God rest their souls because they will never be forgotten and last but not least THE QUEEN OF SOUL ARETHA FRANKLIN!!!

  2. Love Phylis Hyman so much although she is not here listening to her music makes me feel like she is Can listen to her day after day she was of the greatest singers out there Rest in Peace Great One❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  3. “Yesterday I was somebody’s baby, now today I’m a woman on my own.”

That is a powerful sentence that everybody who has ever been in a relationship can relate to. I don’t think the magnitude of that line really sinks and until you think about it.

  4. The entire album is stunning….she had such a beautiful rich voice. One of the greatest ever, yet she remains relatively unknown. 40 years on and this still sounds so good and majestic….this a shining example of her talent. Peerless….

  5. I had just learned about this lady today. She doesn’t even look like she was born in 1949. It’s sad her demons really got the best of this woman and her mental health literally ate her away piece by piece. I feel all the sadness from this song and I feel like I’m listening to myself. Rest Miss Phyllis Hyman 1949-1995.
