Questlove…. excellent comparison of Andre Cymone's Survivin In the 80s to what is happening today. Andre was the first musician I interviewed on radio and it was when this album came out . Great shows and thank you.
I've been coming back to this Purple Funk display from the Questor himself and I must say when I get my bag right I will be hiring Quest to do a Prince Party for Yo Azz!
I’m not feeling this gargled version of his music sounds like a white dude on the vocals no feel no flavor the t- shirt is awesome this sound like something that might be more received in a gay club
i love these but i'd also like a show where he just tells all those stories he's got this guy is walking history and everything he says here is just like the tiniest of teasers
ok, already Questlove is an EXCELLENT drummer – tight, in the pocket & ON THE ONE.. then as a DJ – he is totally ON POINT there too ; most of these jams he did in this session, I'd never heard ; some cool/interesting covers, alternate versions etc. & I certainly appreciate the "back stories" & anecdotes he puts out during this set.. I look forward to hearing his other sets with the Prince theme..!
