“(I Know) I’m Losing You” was a 1970 version by Motown rock band Rare Earth for their Ecology album. Rare Earth’s 10-minute recording was edited for single release and peaked at No. 7, one position higher than the Temptations’ original on the U.S. pop charts.

The original “(I Know) I’m Losing You” was a 1966 hit single recorded by The Temptations for the Gordy (Motown) label and produced by Norman Whitfield.

“(I Know) I’m Losing You” was a No. 1 hit on the Billboard R&B singles chart, and reached No. 8 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart. The group performed the song live on the CBS variety program The Ed Sullivan Show on May 28, 1967, and in a duet with Diana Ross & the Supremes later that year, on November 19, 1967.

  1. First time I heard, Rare Earth, was their twenty – minute song, 'Get Ready,' loved it, and had it the next day. There are three whitey Bands that claim they were the first to play the, 'Apollo Theater'
    'Rare Earth,' was one of them. I would like to think it was, 'Rare Earth' the Audience cheered for after the twenty minute iconic cut, "Get Ready."

  2. Perfect timing playing this song on a cd boombox in hotel room in Manila, with a cheating girl sitting on the bed, thinking she got away with it. Til she heard all of these words. Every one relavent to her and us. She became more uncomf as song went on.. We broke up within the week when i verified it.
