Tribute Mix 3 for Sean Price

Sean Price was a rapper and member of the hip hop supergroups Boot Camp Clik and Random Axe. He came to fame as one-half of the duo Heltah Skeltah, performing under the name Ruckus, or in short Ruck, along with partner Rock. He was also featured in the video game NBA 2K11 as a playable character in street mode. On August 8th, 2015, Sean Price passed away in his Brownsville, Brooklyn home. RIP Ruck

Following the shocking and untimely death of one of Heltah Skeltah’s own dynamic duo, Sean Price AKA Ruck, Rock went into hibernation. To emotionally deal with the death of not only a rap partner and motivator, but a friend and brother, right hand man. When Rock emerged, he came back to give the people what they really want to hear…the raw, real emotion of hip hop.

“Da Streets Want Blood” will bring you along on a roller coaster of emotions that have been felt by the hip hop community worldwide, fans, friends, and loved ones after Sean P.’s passing. You can feel the flood of neighborhood memories from the Brownsville’s area of Brooklyn, the camaraderie of friends, then the raw anger, shock, and loss felt by Rockness.

RIP Sean Price, Ruck, Megasean, AKA The Brokest Rapper You Know AKA Decepticon Sean.

Sean Price first became popular as half of the duo Heltah Skeltah. He was known as “Ruck.” Ruck and Rock were also part of a hip-hop group called Boot Camp Clik. They first appeared on the LP Dah Shinin’ in 1995 and then released their own album, Nocturnal, in 1996. For the past 20 years, Price has released music for both Heltah Skeltah and Boot Camp Clik. Under his name Sean Price, Ruck released three albums in 2005, 2007, and 2012. His music will live forever.

Sean P Anniversary Mix:

At first I couldn’t believe it. I’d been listening to some new Sean price joints earlier that day. A quick google search confirmed the news. I was stunned. As a kid I fell in love with the New York Hip Hop and Sean Price was one of my favourite rappers. Over the years, the death of a talented Hip Hop artist has got to me, but something felt different this time.

Sean Price was one of the true greats. His lyrics contained incredible wordplay, comedy, truth, darkness, realness and intelligence shone through in his bars. He always came correct on any beat. People loved Sean Price because he was real. He left an incredible legacy but had so much more to give.

The sad events of 8th August 2015 have been a catalyst for me to make big changes to my life and for that I’m grateful. You only have one shot. Make the most of it. Leave a legacy. Do what you love. Enjoy your family, make sure they get the best of you. I don’t think i’d be where I am now if it wasn’t for Sean Price. RIP 🅿️❗️
