“It’s All Right” written by lead singer, Curtis Mayfield and recorded by The Impressions, was released as a single in 1963 by ABC-Paramount Records. It reached #1 on the Billboard R&B chart and #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and proved to be the group’s most successful recording. The song was included on The Impressions, the debut album of the group, released in August 1963. Group members were Curtis Mayfield, Fred Cash, and Sam Gooden. “It’s All Right” can be found on CD on The Very Best of the Impressions on Rhino Records.   1. Man,Curtis Mayfield gets overlooked as one of the great ones!You got James Brown,Ray Charles,Stevie,Marvin,Maurice White,Sam Cooke&Smokey just to name a few.This tune is pre People get ready & Superfly.Mr Mayfield is right up there with them in my book!

    I love this song & remember going to dances during the summer months & hearing it.
