I remember when this had come out, and there was a pizza parlor across the street from my apartment and me and my brother would go there every day and play this song on jukebox at least 3 times a day until we purchased the 45.

James Brown created beats! 1st song that had “ Beats” was “COLD SWEAT”. None before it. Musicians had to learn how to play this new music. All the emphasis was on beat 1 ( like Rob Base it takes 2).
