I remember when this had come out, and there was a pizza parlor across the street from my apartment and me and my brother would go there every day and play this song on jukebox at least 3 times a day until we purchased the 45.

BRONX NEW YORK! 72ish. Prospect Ave 167! So Greezy.
The slickest horn solo ever. Played to what used to be called “Wrong Music”. We don’t realize that “ Beats” started somewhere. Before the 60s what we call beats never existed. James Brown created beats! 1st song that had “ Beats” was “COLD SWEAT”. None before it. Musicians had to learn how to play this new music. All the emphasis was on beat 1 ( like Rob Base it takes 2).
"Bobby, whatever I play it's gonna be funky".
