  1. I was born '93 n J Coles middle child hit home from the start.
My hiphop idols dont include any mumble rappers, I was brought up around Em controversy, Jay, Fat Joe, Busta Bust, Twister and Biggie and Tupacs death.
My specific generation is the JIDs, the Earthgangs, the tokens, and a lot of youtube rappers.
The problem with the millenials (mumble rappers) is culturally hiphop is totally different to how older heads will feel it. To me I see it as a different genre and it helps me appreciate it.
    ANY MILENIALS READING THIS
Respect is a 2way road, respect what your idols respected, if hiphop is your profession learn your history its your job to help bridge the gap of understanding as just much as anyone else

  2. E40 is great and some of his guests are lesser known and good. I'm not crazy about a lot of the guests on my fav. rappers albums, but Pride is the Devil (Lil Baby) is a great message, even if I don't like the guest much. It's good to incorporate some less skilled rappers and hood cats to turn the young kids on to the rappers who last the test of time….also with a message of enlightenment and not just being rich and famous.

  3. I 100% agree that it's always the responsibility of the elders to reach out FIRST. That's just logic. Those that have the life experience and wisdom to pass on knowledge are supposed to counsel those who are still learning.

  4. Man as i saw a video from this channel ive been watching 11 videos more. Great channel keep doing it.
Im 15 and i live in iran u know how hard it is to find all the songs here. But man i hate mumble i cant stand listening to it and i do every thing to listen to oldskool

  5. I am 12 years old and thanks god I have a big brother that thought me what the good rap is ( 2pac, BIG, Ice cube, N.W.A, Snoop,Dr.dre, Ll coolJ, the grandmasters, DMX, 50cent and so many others lyrical rappers 2020 rappers (logic, J.cole, the one that makes the album DAMM, )

  6. J cole is so stupid he thinks he's a midd child bro jay z has been in the game since the mid 90s. Sorry j cole but you have only been around for just less than a decade a few years prior to some of these rappers like 21 savage or Kodak so why the hell you think your a middle child. Stop hating own your generation of hip hop

  7. I feel like a lot of these old heads need to watch this. The type of dudes that say “this isn’t real rap blah blah blah”. Some ppl didn’t grow up on Tupac. They grew up on drake. I’m lucky being 27 years old, I grew up in between it all.

  8. I think it's not completely about what time you grew up in.
When you're part of a culture, that's massive, you should atleast know abit about your culture on how it used to be.
I know for a fact that if I didn't, I would've just been a sheep that just listens to 69 or lil xan.

  9. I’m glad the old hip hop heads are realizing that us young ppl grow up with different type of rap than them I was born in 2001 but would spend time with my older cousins that would listen to Eminem dr dre and Tupac I enjoy there music a lot but sometimes we just wanna get turned up by something different I discovered Kendrick jcole logic joey badass on my on I also fuck with lil uzi lil xan peep and x in general I just love hip hop.

  10. Great video as always, but we didn't touch on the fact that these newer rappers could talk about their experiences and lives witha bit more lyricism? no OGs are coming out saying "I hate Lil Pump bc he's too young >:(", it's bc he doesn't say anything with actual words that can be heard or made sense of. respect to everyone and their taste, but why would we show any kind of love to artists who arent doing anything that we'd consider rapping? call it a new genre, give it a new name, and end the comparisons between Pac and Future or Wu Tang and Migos might be the best solution?

  11. I'm 42 I listen to everything from Cold Crush and Treacherous 3 to Kendrick , J. Cold ,Big Krit and everything in between I love Hip Hop cause these songs and verses connect with the soul unlike any other genre of music. It takes you on a journey that you the listener and the performer understand. So if you been enjoying dope rymes as I had you just might like this comment. Oh yea Rakim ,Nas, and Andre3000 are my top3 (no particular order) not up for debate

  12. As an Old Head My Self, and a Product of the 80's & 90's Hip Hop & Rap Game, This young entertainers need to do like the Boxers, Basketball, Baseball & other Athletes do, study their progenitors in the game know the people that pave the way with their struggle to make it easy for them, acknowledge them and keep on going.
