Delicious Vinyl and Traffic Entertainment Group present this incredibly unique pressing of “Runnin'”, the first single off The Pharcyde’s second and critically acclaimed album Labcabincalifornia. The song, featuring all four members Imani, SlimKid3, Bootie Brown and Fatlip, peaked at #55 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1995. There are four non-album versions of “Runnin”, including the “Jay Dee Extended Mix” and two non-album versions of “Drop”. The song “Drop” is best known for it’s incredible, totally backwards video directed by the one and only Spike Jonze. The extended mix and instrumental version of the cut are included here. Red vinyl on the left, blue vinyl on the right — or is that blue on the left and red on the right? Either way this novel and unorthodox colored vinyl pressing is sure to excite Pharcyde fans new and old.

  1. That is slick…but I still prefer the original…the Pharcyde was so talented especially Slim Kid Tre…he had a incredible flow and a nice singing voice…this just shows how versatile they were…too bad, the group splintered with only two members repping Pharcyde…I hope they would all come back together and bless us with some new music!

  2. I remember when I heard this remix one time when this single came out. For years, I would tell people there is a version that sampled the Gap band. No one else heard it. Thank God for YouTube, I was starting to think I had a hallucination 20 some years ago. Lol

  3. thanks for the upload I heard this once back in 95 and have been looking for it since! Jay Dilla was a genius of hip hop and is still underappreciated for his contributions to this thing called hip hop! So glad my first born who is 19 is a fan of Dilla just like me .

  4. WAY better than the original version, which is great too, but nothing compared to this! I'm a huge fan of The Pharcyde and The Gap Band, and that boy J. Dilla can really produce one hell of a track/sample. Another one of the Detroit greats! R.I.P. Jay Dee!

  5. Love, love, love this tune. Big up the uploader! Been looking for this mix for nearly 20 years. When i saw it back in 1995, it was called US Remix, so didn't reaqlise it was Dilla. Real Hip Hop!!
