CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Louis (Dan Aykroyd) eats his Christmas dinner on the bus and tries to commit suicide.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The “nature-nurture” theory that motivated so many Three Stooges comedies is the basis of John Landis’s hit comedy. The fabulously wealthy but morally bankrupt Duke brothers (Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche) make a one-dollar bet over heredity vs. environment. Curious as to what might happen if different lifestyles were reversed, they arrange for impoverished street hustler Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy) to be placed in the lap of luxury and trained for a cushy career in commodities brokerage. Simultaneously, they set about to reduce aristocratic yuppie Louis Winthorpe III (Dan Aykroyd to poverty and disgrace, hiring a prostitute (Jamie Lee Curtis) to hasten his downfall. When Billy Ray figures out that the brothers intend to dump him back on the streets once their experiment is complete, he seeks out Winthorpe, and together the pauper-turned-prince and prince-turned-pauper plot an uproarious revenge. With the good-hearted prostitute and Winthorpe’s faithful butler (Denholm Elliott) as their accomplices, they set about to hit the brothers where it really hurts: in the pocketbook.

,
I actually get sad during this scene, though its meant to be funny. No way for a once honest/successful person to end up.
His lowest point – from being a well-respected, high-wage earning, corporate executive to being framed and sent packing into the streets – Louis Winthorp can only survive this by getting even with his former employers, the corrupt Duke Brothers in the most diabolical way he can think of – Out Smart them, and make them go from wealth to bust in one quick Stock Market investment scheme aimed squarely at the DUKES!
The rain was coming down from all directions
At least the rain washed the pee away.
Hahahahhaha
My favorite scene all time
He had such bad luck that he wasn't even able to kill himself LOL omg this was classic!
Wait for it…wait for it…1:12. Classic comedy!
I have too. Wow!
Jesus….I have had those days
Jesus… he really pulled the trigger. And dumb luck saved him. That is genuinely depressing
That salomon and beard scene is so funny .
If he pulled the trigger again he would have been dead
That's one seriously bad day.
Been there

I literally have days like this. Minus the gun part of course.
HA HA HA
American reality. The leaders of this place think we need to grow up.
The rain washes away the dog pee from the shoes.
Give me a definition about being bad luck.
What a downfall. So sad to see this happen.
Whaha, when I first saw this years ago, I laughed my nuts off…it's so funny..
One of the few hollywood films to show actual normal people (ladies on bus). Not drop dead gorgeous or a stereotype of some kind.
I completely forgot he tries to shoot himself in the head to no avail and the gun only goes off once he throws it to the ground. Yeah the look on his face here it's easy to see how he can be so fed up and exhausted. "I wonder if a fall from this height would be enough to kill me?"
Not gonna lie I gotten this drunk
This scene is really funny. It's also very tragic. It manages to be two things at once.
I remember watching this in the theater, when he started eating the salmon I could barely see I was laughing so hard!
Et tu, Bengi. Et tu
You bet down & out. Gripes, you think how could it get any worse. Sad how a man can bring another man down. I laughed when the dog pissed on his shoe.
Like me every damn "so call'd" office party…
