Sampling is cool and all but I have to say a producer or beat maker that makes beats from other peoples musical art, MUST be able to make their own music also. You can’t just re play music at a different pitch in different stabs and say “this is my beat”. I’m sorry.
Here is what gets me. How in the world did someone like Premier hear these samples and thought, "I could use this to make a beat." This is the mystery of why I fell in love with hip hop at age 10.
