I had the great honor of playing piano with him at a casino near where I live, as he always used local musicians wherever he played. He wasn't there for sound check, pulled up in his Cadillac rented from the airport, minutes before curtain. It was a legends of rock and roll tour, and Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard had already played their sets (Chuck always insisted on headlining). We had been on site most of the day, and the stage manager, who had been on this tour and many before that, said he had seen Chuck send musicians home in tears if he didn't like the way they played. Fortunately he liked us a lot, throwing me a lot of solos, hollering a lot of encouragements as I did. He never called a tune or a key, he would just start a song and we had to just fall in (and find the key – they were never in the recorded key). We never officially met him until after the set, when we got to shake his hand and say hello, but cameras were strictly forbidden and it was just prior to smart phones, so I'm bummed I have no evidence of the night (although the rhythm section were witnesses). But I'll never forget it, it was such a thrill. He was 78 years old at that time, but rocked like he never aged. Lots of flowers thrown on stage and I saw at least 2 pair of panties tossed as well. He still had it.
Es el rey del rock an roll , el abrió la puertas de ese camino y del se inspiraron los restos … y a él no se olvida , su su música a cualquiera despierta la curiosidad de bailar x es muy movida.
with tears in my eyes… the world is a bit colder having lost such a great soul. folks… he was it…. he was the one. the spark…. zeplin…. ozzy… sabbath…. the who…. sex pistols… no matter what genre… no matter what decade. all were mere sparks cast from the flame this man gave life to.
This is from the show 'Bitter End' in 1967. Chuck also lip-synched to 'Maybellene' and 'Roll Over Beethoven'. I heard he was unhappy he had to lip-sync instead of performing live at that TV Show.
Gracias a canciones como "Maybellene" (1955), "Roll Over Beethoven" (1956), "Rock and Roll Music" (1957) y "Johnny B. Goode" (1958), Berry redefinió los elementos del rhythm and blues.[4]
i love chuck berry. but this is total lip syncing. chuck has no mic. guitar is not plugged in. and if you watch close, you can see his right hand is not picking the strings in time with the sound.
It's quite obvious that this was not filmed in 1955. This looks more like it was from the late 60s or perhaps even the early to mid 70s…..
Those good old days
Calvin Klein is a genius, everyone loves his music…lol

Wow, color TV and an amp from the 60’s in 1955!? Almost like it’s not really 1955…

The only johnny b. Goode video that doesn’t have a bunch of comments making a back to the future reference
Just goes to show you that real Rock & Roll and an audience of cadavers was some poor directing.
More like 1965
