DAMN!!!!!! Radio stations fell asleep on this one!
happy father's day!
Jeez, what an incredible voice! Gladys is the best singer I have ever heard.
Nas, "Street Disciple" title track.
John Lurie's "Bella By Barlight" sounds very similar at times to the intro.
I love this song, I grew up listening to this!!!!! My mother played this song all the time!!!
It's on the album "Neither One of Us". I believe you can order the CD on Amazon.com. It's my favorite Gladys Record. "This Child Needs It's Father" is my favorite Gladys track. There's also a great Bill Withers cover of "Who is SHE and what is SHE to you". I've also found several versions on vinyl. There have been a couple reissues. Good luck.
I been lookin evrywhere for this song on vinyl or cd and still havent been able to find it. I cant find it on iTunes either. Any suggestions?
damn nas knows where to sample from
