FUNK BROTHERS TRIBUTE: Gladys Knight & The Pips – This Child Needs His Father – 1972

Originally recorded while Gladys & The Pips still recorded for Motown’s Soul imprint. R.I.P. to one of the original Funk Brothers, drummer Uriel Jones, who passed died yesterday (March 24). Possum was schooled by legendary drummer. He worked with all of the Motown artists, and also played drums live behind the groups when they toured.   1. It's on the album "Neither One of Us". I believe you can order the CD on Amazon.com. It's my favorite Gladys Record. "This Child Needs It's Father" is my favorite Gladys track. There's also a great Bill Withers cover of "Who is SHE and what is SHE to you". I've also found several versions on vinyl. There have been a couple reissues. Good luck.
