We had a lot of fun with this one! Full Kranium interview coming soon. What do you think of Chet Hanks' patois?
They want us to hate eachother, but it's all love. ❤
Yo, not one Jamaican cared but other American Black people that are from Jamaica really got offended … It makes no sense.
I love this guy!! (Kranium, not Chet)
Most Jamaicans are not offeneded by this. In the US everything always becomes a race issue
It's white people that have a problem with him speaking it which doesn't make any sense
Embracing a culture is liking the food and music not copying an accent from a country you've never lived or are from cause you think it's cute
it's crazy how no jamaican had a problem with this but white people did lmao
In my general expirience this cultural appropriation idea is very much an american thing. In adition i have rarly to never seen a person born in the country that is being "appropriated" being mad about it, its almost always someone born in the us with a distant relationship outside of maybe their parents and or grandparents. Or even more commonly white ladies with a saviour complex being offended on others behalf without anyone asking them to do so.
Hey – is it different for somebody speaking jamaican, than mocking for example an indian accent (in english), because patois is a distinct creole language, and not “just” an accent/dialect ?
Please comment if you are local. Cheers.
I think it’s only been whyt liberals that have truly claimed to be black. That is the abusive cultural appropriation but they don’t talk much about it.
I don't know who I love more ~ Jamaican people or Chet Hanks…
People trying to find the next level of butt hurt
Real people embrace it and view it as embracing the culture. The Left thinks you are stealing and disrespecting the culture.
Lol just funny
I don't think people know that there's white Jamaicans even though he isn't it's pretty funny
I do a Jamaican accent all the time with my ppl and I’m
Not Jamaican neither are they if your offended and upset or wanted any to be your a fool and die alow
Pure comedy. Jamaican pums power fr
