Neste vídeo capa vou mostrar a música “Sweet Thang” da compilação “World Psychedelic Classics 2 Inspiration Information – 2001”. Extraido do álbum “Freedom Flight – 1971”.
Man I forgot how great Shuggie is. Yet I damn sure remember sitting in a bar in Kingman AZ getting the straight skinny on the origins of Johnnie Otis Yup.
If you had to associate this song with any part of the US what would it be? (and ignore Dallas Buyer's Club using this song and movie taking place in Texas). Just this song and not the movie.
Sounds like some dusty dirt road Mississippi funk soul groove and the bell bottoms you're wearing is the coolest thing that one stop sign town has ever seen baby.
i hear a lot of comments by music lovers that they never heard of him until recently but i think many musicians have known him always
I heard of him the first time, while watching a film, over 30 years ago, a character in the film mentioned him in this tone and in this poetic way that made me so curious
I did not even remember if they actually featured his music in the film, or what the film was…
It was just a passing moment, nothing to do with the story itself
but the reverential tone they used stuck with me and made me wonder at that time why i never heard of him

Another album in my dad's collection that I listened to in 1978 with my neighbor Chris Latini. Thanks Dad for all the killer musical adventures.
