Stevie Wonder – Master Blaster (Live in London, 1995)
Stevie gives a rare studio concert at London’s Teddington Studios following the release of his ‘Conversation Peace’ album. A sensual ride for an intimate audience of less than 200 fans.
LOVE this song. WORSHIP Stevie. But they should have dialed the drummer (and, for God's sake, the overkill crash cymbals) way back on this. They completely dominate the soundscape, and rob this performance of the amazingly tight reggae groove of the album version. Just my opinion. I found myself wanting to hear the original throughout this.
0:40 Actually it's a sitting room movie. 0:49 No problem Sir! Mi casa es tu casa! 0:53 Yup. 1:04 I ALWAYS have a Good time in my house! I'm Good lookin' and Daddy owns THE WHOLE SHABANG! 1:16 I ONLY feel like dancing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44F34jc7wGI
This song, apart from being sublime, is unique. It is rooted in reggae but quite different from standard reggae. Also very different from any other of Stevie's music, or anyone else's. That relentless, infectious beat is Stevie's and his alone. Maybe thats why it has been my favourite track of ALL music for so long.
Tight band.
This groove…. this otherworldly groove……
Zimbabwe gets a shout out in this one!!
Omg
Superb performance!

Have to admit and never big fan of his live versions of Master Blaster.. they're always so overblown and they lose the sparseness of the original
