Lean is often made by mixing prescription-strength codeine cough syrup with soda. The drink has become popularized in hip-hop culture over the last several years, with famous rappers drinking and featuring it in their music videos. Now the trend has spread to social media, making it even more popular among fans who are posting to emulate some of their favorite rap stars.
VICE’s Matt Shea travels to Florida to meet some users and distributors of lean to see its influence on pop culture first-hand.

Lean- this is sad,it was found in medicine cabs in bathrooms-99% of most people could care less- now u got people singing or rapin about it, now even as a little kid in pain its hard for the average citizen to get- som1 one has to ruin it- for every these guys r clownz, Maybe its a social experiment, I cant get a pill for pain but that horrible Fets all over now.
Why are these young stars using drugs? The feel empty as if their lives don't have meaning or purpose unless the are high on drugs thats how the feel life meaningful and fulfilled. But have things been this way…… These are phenomenon point to the fact that civilization is at crossroads and has declined. The ecological problems that we are actually experiencing point to civilization, culture, society that's is dying. The biggest questions could we revival the society, culture, society that's dying? The symptoms are there for those who have eyes to see. When a society or civilization is dying another will grow from the ruins of one that has Dead. But the process is difficult to accept because the principles, culture and law of society are still holding the psych of majority. How are those people whom have seen the fail and rise of civilization help those who are not prepared to accept that society, civilization is dying and we have to psychologically prepared for difficult situation or phenomenon that is coming. Well this is food for thought. This is my personal reflection, if there people who feel, inappropriate language or the language used from the English Alphabet is is offensive, please accept my apologies I don't mean to hurt or harm anybody. The are simply reflection on drug culture and the ecological challenges being experienced in the world.
