Coolest intro ever. But today every surgery is 6 million dollars. And Steve would be lucky to roll away with a wheelchair, an eyepatch, and one hell of a copay.
The radio station I listen to daily in Toronto, Ontario, (ZOOMERS 740) would play a few words of the original tape daily, to start off their program at 7PM (Songs from the '70's) a while back. They would start with, "Gentlemen, we can rebuild him,". I would be there, saying the rest, finishing it off with so much enthusiasm, word for word, everyday! He was my hero in my teen years! I still love watching his shows!
Most weeks, this was the most exciting part of the show. Lee Majors, actor, a career barely alive…
not even the full fucking opening titles…pathetic!
Steve Austin is real…I remember him on TV, he must be real.
I just bought an autographed card with Lee Majors AND Lindsey Wagner. Awesome!

I don't think I've ever seen a better intro to a television show. Really gives me the chills it's so good.
The show amazing and edgy for the time the first episode deals with his depression and his suicidal thoughts
My favorite TV show of all time! loved this show as a kid. I'm 51 and still love it.
The best TV intro in history. Decades ahead of its time.

The crash was actual footage.
Hellll YesI
He was cyberpunk before it was cool
Whoa..150lb curl..not to shabby!
In todays dollars its more like the $50 billion dollar man.
Used to love watching this as a kid, but why didn't his spine collapse when he lifted card with his bionic arm.
he would be the 6Billion Dollar Man now. and the soundtrack wd be by Daft Punk
One of the greatest intros in TV history, right there with Hawaii Five-0
I absolutely loved this. As a child, a Bionic man was fascinating, and he could run at 60mph…
My favorite show as a kid. I'm trying to find where I can watch full episodes, now.
