What a special place in time. I was a pre teen during this time. Even at a young age the soul music always pulled on my heart strings. That music has gotten me through some tough times, and I will be for ever greatful to her.
Hmm pretty great while not dissing Badu or whatever I never been into her music since hearing her 1st album Baduizm which it did have some cool tunes and so I don’t know about hearing Mama’s Gun i’m actually gonna give D’Angelo’s voodoo a listen but the history of the Soulquarians is Interesting
I don't believe any of them actually thought that photo implied they worked for ?uestlove. I Those people don't move on that type of energy. That had to be label BS or people that know them, throwing salt.
It is interesting how actions of the past are showing present today. It is clipping indicated how the media play a role in publicizing or influencing the thoughts of one outshining another. And how those artists believed install Farm of or fashion that that was true. That resonates in society today of African American people they take what it says what it said as true. Can't help but imagine all the other awesome music and lyrics yall would have put out had personalities not gotten in the way. Quest love and D'Angelo brought these ppl together. Stay humble and think 2x b4 you speak. SMH. I'm very thankful tho. What happen to "WE'RE IN THIS THING TOGETHER" like AL JARREAU.
