Collin (Daveed Diggs) must make it through his final three days of probation for a chance at a new beginning. He and his troublemaking childhood best friend, Miles (Rafael Casal), work as movers, and when Collin witnesses a police shooting, the two men’s friendship is tested as they grapple with identity and their changed realities in the rapidly-gentrifying neighborhood they grew up in.
Longtime friends and collaborators, Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal co-wrote and star in this timely and wildly entertaining story about friendship and the intersection of race and class set against the backdrop of Oakland. Bursting with energy, style, and humor, and infused with the spirit of rap, hip hop, and spoken word, Blindspotting, boldly directed by Carlos López Estrada in his feature film debut, is a provocative hometown love letter that glistens with humanity.

Wow!! Love the allusion to Gertrude Stein.
So amazingly powerful!
And people act like this just started happening in 2020
I hate that I'm so late in learning about these two. They both make me laugh, smile, think and cry through their artistic expressions that reveal oppression, depression, and regression of this modern society. I am feverishly reading, listening and viewing everything they are a part of.
Make this movie mandatory to graduate high school. It's not about whether you agree or not. It's about seeing all the different views of the people who really live this shit before forming your opinion.
“How perfect does a black boy have to be before we mourn him?”
Damn.
i couldn’t stop thinking about this after everything that’s happening right now with george floyd
Can I just SAY Rafael has serious dilf vibes going on? The glasses are just doing it for me
Ahmed Aubrey, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd.
Damn that was some real shit.. these guys are awesome..
"We revolk in debolt and live in remote and when they revolk cop hit reload until a body hits the floor"
"When we demonize the poor and relocate and ignore"
No pity for the fallen kid on CNN who saw his end because he had a gun and we dont wonder why he needed it"
Those carry morals for its moments
"…a story never told becomes a story dead and gone" wow
How does this video only have 22k views?
Political awereness diggs rafa and comedy the perfect movie
how talented, how unique and how pure they are!
it's inspiring… i don't even know what to say
but i've just decided that i should make sure to be here congratulating and praising these two for the work they've put on, from the movie to this to the EP
it's just that.. we need to value art and artists such as these guys, they are rare and i hope they always be there to care and dare to say what's fair.
much love from Egypt
The movie is amazing.
I would do anything for these two to get oscar nods for either acting or writing for Blindspotting. I've seen a total of 58 movies from 2018 and Blindspotting is by far my favorite. Possibly one of my favorite movies of all time. People like these two remind me what it means to be an artist and how impactful 2 voices can be. Two of my idols.
POWERFUL AND ENLIGHTENED!
Hey, Daveed’s verse is now on the EP. Something in the Water.
temescal hipster cancer
Please do not forget Trayvon!
Here's me, months later, listening to this again, EXTRAORDINARILY happy that Daveed's "something in the water" verse here made its way onto the Blindspotting EP Part 1. "Something in the Water" is my favorite track off the EP. It's so heavy. This is beautiful and heart-wrenching.
I keep watching this! It’s so powerful !
