Bobby Caldwell, live on Miami Beach in 1978 performing his breakout hit “What You Won’t Do For Love” for the first time ever. This was the first concert I ever filmed and edited for Instant Replay video magazine owned by Chuck Azar. We went on to create a series of music videos for his first album before MTV was ever invented. Notice another legend, former Miami Beach Mayor, Leonard Haber, rocking out in the background at 2:45 in the film. He helped make Miami Beach what it is today. You can see another one of Bobby’s songs performed that day at the following link: https://youtu.be/rlNa93xCWNc

A Michael Jackson/Bobby Caldwell collab would’ve been crazy
He's just insanely gifted, very deep individual and someone with the talent to liberate it. This is an incredibly important video, I wonder if Bobby has seen it? YOU'LL NEVER SEEN ANYTHING THIS GIFTED TODAY, NOTHING.
timeless classic I play this exact version as I'm riding my bycicle along the coast
This is incredible…. Do you remember what camera was used to record this?
whats the song playing at the very beginning before the concert starts? 0:00
Its a very cool performance
without taking it the wrong way, every time I heard it I swore it was a black man.
Omg Music of this kind, PLEASE RETURN…. Love never fails…. You are the true “GOAT”
Greatest Of All Time!!!!!!
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️always loved this…….
what a groove; also amazed that after an excellent performance of the song, and a ripping solo, he never played a bad note and keep the feel perfectly until the conclusion of the song
Thank you so much for uploading this! 100% gem.
This is still one of the best videos ever lmao
Solo is legendary
I was born same year…. Around may

I miss the 70s man. I was like 3 but the music. The openness. It was a magical time culturally.
During this time, technology didn’t consume our lives
Almost like being there in wild Miami with a breakout band on fire, so good such musicianship…. what a solo!
WHAT A VOICE!!!
