Kraftwerk were totally original………I HATE IT ……..when people STEAL other peoples music……. sampling?? WHATEVER! Create your own shit man! Or…..give artists CREDIT! Kraftwerk started hip hop ..at least the music part. and they also were some of the first artists to do RAP in the early 70s!!!!! They actually helped the new black sound of hip hop with their own brand of electronic beats!

Jean-Jacques Perrey Musique électronique du cosmos 1962
I remember Kraftwerk so heavy in hip hop back in the day….the breaks were so easy to use in just about any mix
so many legends on 1 video,
also, when Derrick May speaks, you shut up and listen.
So cool to see other Black people who fw Kraftwerk
Bambaataa just copied Kraftwerk. Unlike today, where Hiphop is extremely creative, then it wasn't musically. But the lyrics brought Hiphop where it is today. Techno was always without lyrics.
Nope. The Grateful Dead produced Electronic Techno in 1966. Listen the Acid Test reels. Kraftwerk built on those electric sounds. Listen to Iron Butterfly, Inna Gada Da Vida, if you want to hear the first four on the floor house beats. The Iron Butterfly drum solo is the real birth of House music on wax in 1968.
Afrika Bambaataa is a thief.
BLAX stole from them.
Kraftwerk ? LOL 🙂 Do you wAnt to drop some more
kraftwerk did alot to change music into something new
i mean..they actually build electro drum machines and some of them got patents for it
Kraftwerk is good . But I think DEVO is better. That's my opinion.
Numbers. Nothing else remotely close.
The Maneheim Steam made computer type Christmas music.
One of my favorite groups. My all time favorite songs The Model, Neon Lights and Vitamin.
Legends
Legends…Kraftwerk for life!
The most influential German band of all time and the most influential banfd of 70's and 80's.
Electric Legends.
goated
If anyone says that the Beatles is the most influential band of all time, s/he is WRONG, period. RIP, Florian! Peace.
modern hip hop is based on their work end of story
R.i.p Florian Schneider.
This sounds so true today RIP Florian
I love the short clip with Philip Oakey
Kraftwerk are the godfathers of techno.
Egyptian composer Halim El-Dabh is the godfather of electronic music.
KH Stockhausen is the father of electronic music.
Oh you silly ignorant reactionary people … Peter Zinovieff and Delia Derbyshire were the first Pioneers of Electric music … do some research and get the facts!!!
Trans Europe Express was HEAVILYinfluenced by James Brown's "The Big Payback". It needs to be mentioned and acknowledged.
THE BEATLES OF THE SYNTHESIZERS…
Great video. Respect!
Edgar Varese is who I consider the one who birthed electronic music, but kraftwerk is responsible for shaping it and really doing something with the limited base Varese built in the 30s
wow takes me back. i recall buying computer world in hmv oxford street on import and then the amazement when playing it at home.
Tour de France
Amerrycains talking of their apparent root of EDM, speaking – as ever – in the most demeaning, and piss-taking forms. The Europeans invented it – although the Telharmonium was completely American in 1896… How did it take so long..?
Planet Rock
7.45 The great T-shirt with "Tour Der France"!
