Damn I nearly forgot just how badly Donnell Ruined what could have been a BRILLIANT JRE episode & I just know for a fact he invited him damn self despite what he claims, as he is a KNOWN liar. In fact Joe actually called him out & exposed him on a Lie he had been telling for over 2 years about walking off Kill TONY! So fk this MILD Leech!
Im glad the recognition of latinos in the creating of hip hop isnt forgotten. Weve been part of the biggest waves in the U.S. never let that be erased.
I agree. Donnell was so bombastic and over the top. I don't think he was trying to be an asshole, but his excitement was just overwhelming. I wanted to hear what RZA was saying.
It's funny that not one of these hip hop "experts" who try breaking down the evolution of hip hop, never bring up the fact that hip hop and New York Hardcore evolved together, at the same time, and influenced each other in certain ways….NYHC is its own sound and style, and when it grew and moved away from the punk scene, hip hop was just getting going and they were both the essential DIY street music.
