  1. All I hear from Ebro are EXCUSES…the same lame excuses the radio stations in the 80's gave as to why they didn't play Hip-hop AT ALL: "it's not commercially viable"…"it's not melodic enough"…"it's not catchy enough". It's laughable to see Ebro give the same excuses used by the old white fossils thay ran those radio stations 35-40 years ago, like a good little SELLOUT. Difference is we had to stand up and DEMAND them to play Hip-hop on these radio stations back then…but now, we have numerous options, from XM radio to streaming services. Just like the old record labels, we don't need these radio stations (and the old fossils and pretentious "gatekeepers" that run them) as much as we used to.

  2. The beginning of half manne half Cocaine, weight, careless, baby shit are just a few songs that are radio friendly and still at the same time is great hip hop music but could be played at the clubs n all that. Niggas just don't know how deep freddie gibbs bag is as far as versatility. Dude can do trapshit, boom bap, electronic hip hop, drill type shit but the difference is he kills that shit with superior rap skills n he can dumb it down a lil bit n still rip shit. The perfect bridge between the ogs and new generation

  3. I definitely think that there’s Pop Rap, which is what a lot of those same people in their cars like to hear and bring the “ratings”, and then there’s the Hip Hop fan that enjoys true Hip Hop from artists like Freddie Gibbs, MF DOOM, Nas, EPMD, etc. Most of these pop fans don’t appreciate real Hip Hop, they just like rap.

  4. The only people who still listen to terrestrial radio (mainstream radio) are people who don’t really give a fuck about music, and just want some filler noise with a pleasant tempo to play in the background. They don’t want to think about what to play. True artists and true connoisseurs gave up years ago, and now we have tons of platforms to listen to whatever we want.
