  2. First of all it’s about the lyrics. It needs to have the same intensity as if you’re reading it or listening to vocals only. Knowing the vernacular of the era helps get the impact of what was going on. This wasn’t close because Moe Dee showcased lyricism which resonates to this day. Moe Dee is remembered more for his rhymes whereas Cool J is more remembered for the beats and chorus. Winner: Kool Moe (Mo) Dee

  3. Back in the day I said LL won. I am such a fan of his that in my book he always won. Now I realize Moe D’s rapps were directly an LL dis. Moe D has whole songs dedicated to dissing L. LL would put other things in his. Let’s go was crucial and hands down one of the best lyrically gifted diss records.
