Every time I hear this woman sing I immediately feel the Holy Spirit in me and around me. What a true spiritual gift Sister Tharpe was given. Amen
This is shithot music but as Sister Rosetta would sadly not discover when she died, there aint no god and there aint no heaven. Get rational guys.

This song was covered by the famous "Nashville Bluegrass Band". They slowed it down and recorded it a'cappella. I had no idea until I stumbled over Sister Tharpe singing this that it was the same song! Amazing that NBB covered this the way they did. However, they covered a LOT of black gospel music in a bluegrass fashion and recorded an album featuring The Fairfield Four, one of the most famous of the black gospel recording a'cappella groups.
A goddess
She's amazing! And in those days. She must have really stood out in those days. I think she still does.
