Deniece Williams (born June Deniece Chandler; June 3, 1950) is an American Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer who achieved success in the 1970s and 1980s.

Williams is known for hits such as “Free” (1976), “Silly” (1981), “Let’s Hear It for the Boy” (1984), “It’s Gonna Take a Miracle” (1982), and for her duets with Johnny Mathis.

  1. Dam I miss the 1970s. I used to skip school when I was 14 in 1977 to hear this at my friends house. She had this album and the Isley's Go For Your Guns album. Those were the days.

  2. If some of you young listeners listen to more of her, you'll find out she has one of the greatest female voices ever. Her and Minnie Riperton were the idols of Mariah Carey.
