  1. Nobody ever listens to what I have to say… Do go on….unfortunately old white people will have this in the background whilst they do yoga or a HITT class. Nobody listenes to the words. It's like that run DMC is another one. Thank you for a beautiful song, but maybe you could have played it badly? All my love❤

  2. Hi. I am a painty artist. Recent project was to create something based on a song. I heard this year's ago and also had a pic of an old TV… When I was asked how a painting of a TV could tie into the theme, I mentioned this song, teacher surprised me by knowing it! Great song, Thank you❤

  3. very relevant in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and prob for quite some time. WAKE UP!!! to the conditioning of your mind and ditch your television. Ignore the LAMESTREAM. Use you CRITICAL THINKING to see the TRUTH for yourself.

  4. Listening in Dec 2023. I first heard this when I was 40, about 30 years ago. It is still relevant and not much has changed in the"real" world. Same old bs being peddled out. Well done guys.

  5. Saw them on Chicago in 1989 — fantastic show,at caberet metro — and have huge respect for the album HITGL so I don't know, why it's taken me so many years to realize this, byt this is the, successor ro Gil Sxott-Hwron's "The,Revolution Will Not Be Televised." It's even right there in the bass line, a direct nod to the earlier song.

So, together, the mesage is, essentially, "the revolution will not be televised because TV socks and is an instrument of control, not liberation"

    Hey, no argument from me.

  6. The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy was an American hip-hop group formed in 1990. The group consisted of two primary members:

Michael Franti: Michael Franti was the lead vocalist and lyricist of the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy. He is also known for his work with the band Spearhead, which blends elements of hip-hop, funk, reggae, and rock.

Rono Tse: Rono Tse was the group's percussionist and provided the musical backdrop for Franti's vocals. He played various instruments, including drums and electronic samples, to create the group's unique sound.

The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy released their debut album, "Hypocrisy Is the Greatest Luxury," in 1992. The album featured politically charged lyrics and a fusion of hip-hop, industrial, and spoken word elements. The group's music often addressed social and political issues, making them known for their thought-provoking and conscious lyrics. While they didn't release many albums as the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, Michael Franti continued to make music with Spearhead and as a solo artist, becoming a prominent figure in the world of socially conscious music.
