Completely left out how they were communists which was a big driving force for them. Through the power of community and love, they improved society much more than other could. Workers of the world unite!
violence and bloodshed huh. These kid are young and it’s amazing to see how the black panthers were able to start challenging how they are thinking. Personally I would love to see more engagement with the fact that it is the us government specifically repressing community and collective organization as they do now. It’s all there in the conversation and I hope these kids take that and think and connect it more to the structure of society. Also MLK was great y’all but let’s not sanitize and centralize on one thing of the movement and remember a historical narrative.
